Day Twelve - Can anyone else smell hotdogs?!

Good evening all

So after Gordon being able to get wifi and us talking on skype for the past few days, we are now back to our 10 minute speed chats..its like speed dating but you know who the other person is! ;)

After sleeping in this morning, Gordon has once again been on the 'fun' Swedish roads involving some very odd driving styles..it sounds more like it is like driving with thousands of boy racers who all drive estate cars or buses, at the same time! Conditions have been dry today and it has been up to 25 degrees according to Sweden's answer to Michael Fish and this has only added to the angst of the other drivers.

But, safely he has made it to his campsite which I have put a link on here:
http://www.fyrishov.se/fyrishov/templates/InternationalStartPage____4276.aspx As you can see its a haven style site with a mini golf..living the life of luxury over there! lol He is camping next to a Finnish guy who shares his love of pizza, clearly pizza being the universal sign of friendship and who is cycling..yes cycling around Sweden..vey odd people the Scandanavians!! The Finnish was apparently soon jealous of Gordon who had just got a fresh pizza from the local Italian takeaway kebab shop..so they might not be friends for long!

He has managed, being the wally that he is to drive over some roadworks and has got some gravel stuck to his tyres..let's hope that comes off in the morning!

Talking of his tyres, he has let some of the air out of the front one and fingers crossed it isnt so much of a bucking broncho now..especially when I'm on the back of it in 8 days!! eek!

En route to this site, Gordon or the human sat nav 'Gord Gord' got lost (again) and had to stop to ask for directions. However, his lack of Swedish soon became an issue as everytime he asked someone if they spoke English they replied 'No.' Now it does strike me that perhaps they do speak it if they can understand it to answer him, but anyway, luckily for him he managed to find a kind soul who pointed him in the direction of the un-signposted campsite.

Also today, he stopped in Gavle for lunch and spoiled himself by getting a spicy chicken and cheese panini, slightly more healthy than the previous days of burgerking 3 ways and reckons that the entire town smelt of hotdogs..now maybe that could be true..or maybe he is hallucinating like those people do in the wilderness and maybe its a good idea that I am visiting in 8 days! ha ha

Tomorrow the plan is to head west and to camp in Lidkoping on the edge of a massive lake which will create amazing views! Reindeer count is still nil as well which is very disappointing..apparent from the parts of one found in the supermarket..not quite the same tho!

As for the fund...we are up to £1177 which is just incredible!! Please keep it coming people! And massive thankyou to all those who have donated so far! :D

That's it for now.

Ride Safe Gordon
