Day Twenty Six - Can someone please turn the wind off?!

Hello Everyone

Tonight is the last night of camping for Gordon and he is just outside of Ostend, Belgium. He is also camped beside an English guy who he has been chatting onto whilst making his dinner. Turns out he is a Nottingham Trent graduate..must have been nice to hear an English voice after so long..especially as everyone in Beligium speaks German, French and Flemish..languages which Gordon does not happen to be fluent in!! lol He also very kindly sponsored Gordon 5 Euros for doing his trip which is awesome! :D

Today has been a stressful days riding for Gordon today especially when he got caught up in rush hour traffic around Antwerp. Because of this he decided to stop early and not to travel onto Calais which is tomorrows job..he also seemed to have found a ghost town where he could only buy a lion bar and some water..he also thought about getting a kebab but apparently the locals gave him the eye and so decided against it! lol

Weather today has been really windy and rainy...more British weather!! lol He was also forced to go back to nature once more when he realised that the toilets in this mornings campsite were locked!! Let's hope no-one was there with a video camera and a tape to send in to 'You've Been Framed' He also came into contact with more nature when he was riding and a huge bug flew into his face and stayed in his helmet so that he had to pull over and remove it..ewwwww...

It's also been a really long day of riding with only a few rests for essentials such as fuel and doritoes! :)

The plan for tomorrow is to travel to Calais and see if he can get an earlier ferry than the one that he is booked on for tomorrow night. Then from Dover to Witham in Essex to my mum's house for a ferry and a hot meal before coming home!! eek!!

Think that's it for now! Not long left of the journey.. Ride Safe Gordon

xxxxxx
