Day Twenty Three - Goodbye Norway..hello Sweden

Evening Everyone

Today has seen today bid a fond over priced farewell to Norway and a hello ever so slightly cheaper wave to Sweden. This move also signifies the start of his last leg home!

Gordon is now in Varberg, Sweden which is another one of those places that we went to on the deployment when we first met and was a fun place when we went there with a castle and a supermarket and even a few classy..obviously..bars.. lol Gordon told me that he has been visiting the places that we went and taken some photos which is really ace! Let's just hope he doesnt have to re-enact the watches or the 'really good' jobs like cleaning the heads! ha ha

Normally he is in a campsite..or hostel as he has been treated to recently but tonight he is rough camping which is a bit scary and does not have any company apart from a fox looking for his gloves walking along the road and the trains which are passing on the tracks beside him. He was supposed to be in a campsite but he visited two and the first told him that it is high season, as of today and would cost £32 for one night and the other said that it was £35 and still low season..and by the time he had thought about it, they had both closed..now i am no expert but i am not sure how a piece of grass closes..hmm..i will think on that one..and the funny thing that Gordon said to me is that those campsites were only rated 4 out of 6 stars in the Swedish camping guide..well..i wondered..what does one have to do to get 6 stars? serve gordon ramsay's food? or maybe provide a massaging spider with each shower? Answers on a post card with that one! lol

The weather today has been another bad one for him seeing rain all day long, although now it has eased which is good and although its raining, he has noticed that as he is getting further south it is getting warmer. He even went to the extreme today of puttin his socks on and then putting plastic bags on his feet before putting his shoes on to keep his feet dry..now i dont know how u feel about this..but i for one hope that they were a quality marks and spencer bag and not a thinner lidl one..makes all the difference..lol

The plan for tomorrow is to try and get as far as he can through Denmark past Aarhus, Middelfart (tee he he ).. flensburg and hopefully back to Neumunster, Germany and so this plan hinges on the weather and highly dependant on the quality of the said bags above..as i know you are all waiting on baited breathe..i shall enquire as to this point and get back to you..more disappointingly is that the reindeer count remains at zero..fingers crossed his rough camping may throw up an elk or two! :D

That's it for now.. God natt all!

Ride safe Gordon
