Day Thirteen - A lunch of mystery meat
Evening All
Today has seen Gordon travel further west and he is currently in a 'campsite' in Kristinehamn. I use the word campsite loosely because apparently, as with a lot of things, the picture and description dont match what he actually has! It is a constructions site more than a campsite at present and although it is supposed to have wifi..they dont seem to have got round to that yet..how inconvenient eh..lol
The weather today has been a bit like it has here..changeable. Gordon said that it was really hot this morning (ok maybe we didnt actually get that bit) and to the point where he thought he may run out of water to the heavens opening and it being a down pour as well as thunder and lightening..which I am informed was scary and made him jump..bless. This has left him chilling in his tent with the ricky gervais podcast for company! It also meant that he is now bored and cant even go for a walk to explore the lake which is a shame.
With the wet weather, you would logically think came safe or even safer drivers, but apparently not..the Swedish seem to be getting a bit of a reputation for driving faster than Alonso..and may not even have the special wet tyres on! :p
As for internet, Gordon had the brain wave of following the signs for the Tourist Information office in this town and left the motorway to explore this. Although apparently what no-one had told him is that those signs were just in fact a scenic tour through the town and then led him back on the motorway! lol Better luck next time Gordon!
The plan for tomorrow is to be decided at present and weather dependant. If the weather is better, he will travel on some cool wee country roads all the way around the lake and head towards a cute town that way..preferably one that has wifi!! But if the weather is bad and horrible..he will travel by motorway which is clearly the less attractive but sensible route on a bike that has had one too many tequilas and is still a bit dodgy to drive!
An exciting moment for me today is realising that it is 7 days today until I see him..yes.. i know..dont all throw up..and Gordon said he even starting seeing signage for Oslo today which is coolio. When he told the receptionist at the campsite that he was heading that way, she told him to be careful as it is expensive..now if she is saying that and Swedish pizza is £5 a pop..i had better go do some overtime because Gordon needs to be kept in pizzas and mystery meat! eek! Fingers crossed she was joking..although I dont know any famous funny Swedes so this is doubtful..although I did laugh at a Swede once (the vegetable) because it looked a bit like Gary Linekar..but that's a whole different thing..
